Oriana - Covid Update
To our valued Oriana patrons
***Due to alterations in our back of house Tech Dept, there was disruption to our Youtube channel which meant we lost the link. This has now been fixed. If you had previously subscribed to our channel, can we please ask you to subscribe again!***
Oriana Choir has been very quiet these last few months. We have been watching the devastating and far-reaching effects of COVID-19 on the world, and the impact locally. Of course, in line with the evidence and then legislation surrounding social distancing, we ceased face-to-face rehearsals in early March, and sadly had to cancel our programme for much of 2020. We are now conducting our own Zoom rehearsals, as well as researching and waiting for the Government's direction on how we may safely resume rehearsals in preparation for our comeback concert! We can't wait!
In the meantime, here is our latest and newest Oriana footage (produced by Shenzo Gregorio) of Elgar's Lux Aeterna. This beautiful piece is from our Lux Aeterna concert held in St John's Cathedral in Brisbane, August 2019. We dream of being able to sing together again, in beautiful venues, to appreciative audiences. We'll look forward to making that dream a reality in the not too distant future. Thank you for your ongoing support. Enjoy the music... with all our gratitude,
Melissa Innes (President) on behalf of Oriana Arts Inc.
P.S. Many musicians and performers have been badly affected by the impact of COVID-19. If you have a few spare dollars to support the producer of this film, Brisbane-based incredible violinist and musician Shenzo Gregorio, please follow the link: paypal.me/shenzogregorio - and don't forget to subscribe to Oriana's YouTube channel as we have more lovely footage coming your way!
